Introductions

Hey,

My name's Leah and I'm in second year CDM. My best subjects so far web development 1 & 2. I like to play video games; my favourite game is kingdom hearts drop dream, I love drawing mostly people and landscapes, and I love anime my favourite anime is called Soul Eater it's one of the funniest shows in my opinion. I'm love all animals but dogs are my most favourite. I hope to get a dog when I move out of my house. I am really looking forward to exploring the world once I'm done this course.

I live in swords but I am originally from ballymun. While I lived in ballymun I actually lived in the flats. But while living in the flats I was never allowed outside since it was so ruff out there. I spent most of my time at my nan's house playing with the kids there. I'm glad that I moved when I was 10. I made new friends in swords and I feel a lot safer. I now work in swords as a sales assistant in dealz. I hope to be able to go to Australia over the summer and do some work experience.

I'm very close to my family. My nan is the person I'm most close to. I have two uncles the oldest is over in Australia and the youngest is a musician and is the youngest of five. Over the summer I worked all week and would spend the nights in the bingo hall with my nan. This is how we spend time together then after bingo we would come back home have some drinks and watch crime shows. I love my family and would spend most of my time with them.

I hope to work in a place like Google or eBay. I have a cousin working in Google and they have given him options to travel the world.

Workshop 1

The workshop was about traffic lights. In the lecture we were asked to complete an exercise where we had two cars able to pass the lights. We had to figure how to get the traffic moving in just one way. we had to be detailed and you had to do this by yourself. This was a hard thing to do as you went by each light and had to try and figure out how to get each car lane to be able to turn left and right without indicating lights. You had to include pedestrians in this little exercise. 

For this exercise it was hard even though everyone everywhere is in traffic at some point in there day, for me I don't really think about what way the traffic is and when in the car I'm mostly in my own world, so to be this task it made me really think about the rules of driving and how if you're driving on roads with no left/right indicators you have to know what how/when you can turn left or right, then to make sure that there's no pedestrians that are trying to cross otherwise you would have to let them cross the road. 

Based on this exercise I am very interested in what the outcome of this course module will be. I am very excited to learn more about making games as I have always found the code interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing more of what my lecture has in store for us in this module. I think that I will enjoy this module as it will be a challenge since I have known skills in using unity but i do have experience in using pixi js so this will be something different.

This game is the first Zelda Game made for 3ds. This game has great graphics in my opinion. It's about the main character Link going to safe hyrule. I really enjoyed this game and the story is very nice. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoy the 3ds as the graphics are very good. I give this game 4 stars it lost the fifth because the game felt short.
